I would like to tell you a bit about myself and my purpose for setting up this blog. My name is Emma MacDonald and I am a Mum to 2 fantastic children, Alistair who is 4 years old and Isla who is 2 years old. I was born and brought up in London and still have my parents and siblings living there. I currently live near Glasgow with my Husband David, our 2 children and our Westie Dog called Ernie.
Why live 400 miles away from my family? Well my husband is Scottish and due to jobs and cost of living we have settled here. Despite missing my family immensely and also finding the weather colder and wetter, I am enjoying living here. I also work part time as a School Nurse and have over 10 years experience working as a Childrens Nurse in various hospitals including Great Ormond Street and Yorkhill.
The purpose of this blog is to share some of the tips and advice surrounding all aspects of parenting. This has come from both the professional experience that I have gained through working with Children and Families as a Nurse and also from the practical experience that I have gained as a Mum through bringing up 2 young children. This should therefore give a balanced view.
Please note that as I am sure you are aware that everyone is different, therefore not all the advice that I may post will work for you or your child. However I have 2 children who are very different and I have to adapt my methods for both children. I would therefore hope that some of what I say will be of use to you. Please feel free to adapt some of the advice I give to suit you and your child. I find that parenting is a lot of trial and error. It is useful to get various tips and ideas and then create a method that works for you and your child. No one has all the answers, however I am sure that this blog will bring you some solutions and some answers to questions that you may have. I also believe that it will give you some good ideas to make your life and your families lives easier. Enjoy your family..xx

Hi There. Thank you for trying to connect. I did not have a GFC widget only a networked blogs one. However I have attempted to add one to my side bar. Hopefully it has worked.
